Monsieur Pastiche is having a break this year, but there are plenty of outdoor themed shows available for events- click hereMonsieur PasticheA Walkabout Character Clown for Arts Festivals and EventsIntroducing Monsieur Pastiche a walkabout, fallabout, foolabout character clown for arts festivals, events, street theatre and anywhere else where children and families gather to see live comedy. Drawing on the traditions of the Silent clown, and over twenty years experience as a professional performer, Monsieur Pastiche employs magic, mime, music, buffoonery, slapstick and pathos to perform a show guaranteed to bring laughter to audiences of all ages. Gently poking fun at the world, he encourages us to laugh at our own foolishness and failures - we are all ridiculous and Monsieur Pastiche gives us permission to laugh at ourselves, all performed to the accompaniment of the wind powered music machine. Is he an English clown who speaks bad French or a Frenchman who makes fun of the English? No one is really sure, certainly not this character! He plays the longest trombone in the world (very badly), performs the silliest of tricks, gets lots of help from the audience, and doesn't usually know what will happen next, but ends leaving the audience feeling quietly uplifted. Practical Information The shows are available for arts festivals, music festivals, fetes and events, and can be adapted for site or event specific performances. Length of shows is variable, usually around 30 minutes, and for most events, two or three shows can be performed in a day. The shows are entirely self contained, have no technical requirements and no get in times. M. Pastiche will wander along with his shopping trolley in tow and at an appropriate moment, will stop and perform a show. It's versatile and spontaneous. For more information use the contact info below

This part of the page is under construction so you can ignore it for now! More Information about M Pastiche Can he juggle? Er not really, he's not that sort of clever clown, nor does he ride a unicycle, perform escapology, stilt walking, acrobatics, balancing feats, or sword swallowing. He doesn't walk the tightrope and he doesn't do balloon modeling, or if he does, he does it very badly. There's a bit of magic, but not a lot, in fact amazing feats and clever tricks are rare - it's all about fun and playfulness, so here is a street show with no juggling clubs, juggling balls, fire clubs, circus skills, plate spinning, balloon modeling, or walking on stilts. |
